Making
SOFCs
Since
the "Industrial Revolution", we have used fossil fuels.
After
the oil crisis, however, we need cleaner energy source to replace them.
And
now fuel cells are attracting a great deal of attention
because
they are considered to be more efficient than any other energy source known so
far.
Among
all the energy conversion systems, Solid oxide fuel cells
(SOFCs),
which
are operated at high temperature, are able to achieve the highest efficiency
when
co-generation system is combined using exhaust heat of the
system.
In
the present state of SOFC research, there are many problems to be solved for
practical application
but
the research is under way all over the world and getting some results.
Purpose
We
investigate about the manufacture methods of Cell, and combinations of an
electrolyte, an anode and a cathode.
Each
group chooses the combination which they think most suitable,
and
in order to obtain a high power generation performance, manufacture and
experiments are conducted.

results.
